Dr. Jeff Anzalone

Periodontist

Dr. Anzalone is a highly skilled and experienced periodontist who stays current with the latest developments in technology through regular continuing education. He trains other dentists and has published two books that educate patients about periodontal treatments—The Truth About Dental Implants and The Consumer’s Guide to Safe, Anxiety-Free Dental Surgery.

Dr. Anzalone is a board-certified periodontist, an honor awarded to those who have demonstrated knowledge and skill well beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Board certification can only be earned after passing comprehensive and rigorous examinations on all aspects of periodontics and has only been achieved by approximately 10 percent of periodontists in the United States.

Dr. Anzalone is the only board-certified periodontist in Northeast Louisiana.

Dr. Anzalone graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in 1996 and Louisiana State University Dental School in 2000. His education continued with a one-year General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Biloxi, MS, followed by one year of private practice in general dentistry. Dr. Anzalone then decided to pursue specialty training in periodontics.

Starting in 2002, he served a three-year residency in periodontics at Louisiana State University, graduating with his periodontal certificate in 2005. He then returned to Monroe to start delivering periodontal services to the community in private practice.

Dr. Anzalone believes in staying on the cutting edge of technology so he can continually provide his patients with the most comfortable and effective treatments. He attends numerous continuing education seminars each year to stay technically up-to-date and take advantage of new developments. Dr. Anzalone loves being a periodontist because it gives him the ability to help people achieve optimum oral health and be able to smile again with renewed confidence and hope. He really cares about his patients’ well-being and makes sure patients understand everything that is happening so they can relax and feel comfortable.
